The beginning of the activities dates back to 1969, with 4 people manufacturing cutting and stamping parts. Between 1969 and 1981, operating as an individual company, it goes through several stages of development; in 1972, begins to produce pieces for industrial purposes and in 1977, begins the manufacture of car bodywork.

When founded in 1982, Metalúrgica Alguerra is already a company that dedicates part of what it does to the ever demanding exporting market. And exports will increasingly represent a significant share of their sales.

It quickly thundered into one of the most active independent European automotive body parts manufacturers, producing high quality and perfectly adaptable parts in a market that was, essentially, extremely aggressive at competitive prices.

This major boost in its presence in the international market resulted from its commitment to developing the range of products and also in partnerships with prestigious brands and companies in the sector. These partnerships contributed to the increase of know-how, better quality products, leading the company to be one of the first European manufacturers to install a line of anticorrosive treatment of surfaces and Cataphoresis painting.

In the end of 2017, it adopts the designation of Alguerra Autoparts, demonstrating, even more, a strong readiness to reach higher levels in a market known for its requirements.
